Serenoa is one of those rare opportunities to enjoy life in a gated community where quality constructed homes on large lots amongst the backdrop of a premier golf course can be had without the expense of having to become a member to live here. Homes are solid block construction and were built by either Arthur Rutenberg or Peregrine Homes. It would be hard to find a home here without high ceilings, a luxurious pool and lanai and splendid long views of water, manicured fairways, or tropical preserves.
Located just east of I-75 just south of Clark Rd, this location offers quick access to the interstate. It’s just a quick hop to the major Sarasota east-west routes. Siesta Key beach is just a quick 10-15 minute drive and the downtown area just another 5 minutes. Shopping is convenient from the basics to boutique. The Sarasota Square Mall is about 10 minutes away.
If the golf lifestyle is one of your passions, we are sure the 17,000 sq. ft. clubhouse will be the first enticing feature you will notice. The Mark David Allen designed a course took advantage of the natural lay of the land and is ranked within the top 100 courses in Florida and #3 in Sarasota by the Florida Golf News. Family or Single Membership prices are quite affordable by any standard and there are differing packages to meet most needs from unlimited gold card memberships to seasonal or “pay as you play” memberships. The clubhouse is available for private occasions and features a 5,000 square foot banquet room with an 1,800 square foot deck overlooking one of the many large lakes of Serenoa. Of course membership is not a requirement to live here but it sure if nice to have that country club feel. Additional information about the Serenoa Gulf Club and membership can be found here
Home sizes run from just under 2,500 up to almost 5,000 square feet. The first homes were built in section 1 in 1991 with construction wrapping up in section 2 in 2003. Most homes will have a private pool and at least a two if not a three car garage. Other amenities include out-door kitchens, open gathering and kitchen areas, high ceilings, tile roofs, multiple sliders that open to the lanai, grand master suites with double sinks, vanities and separate shower and sitting tubs. You might also find a fireplace or office in some as well.
Lot sizes generally run from ½ to 1 acre but a few are more than an acre. The streets are wide and tree lined with the homes being set back quite a distance from the road. With plenty of space between each home, what other developments consider “estate lots” are the norm here.
