Southfield Real Estate in Sarasota

Southfield is a deed-restricted community located in the heart of central Sarasota with 123 quality-built homes just east of McIntosh Road off of Proctor Road.  Homes are generally a traditional Florida split plan and range in size from 1,700 to 2,800 square feet with at least three-bedrooms and two full baths.  Construction started in 1987 and completed in 1995.  There will be at least a two car garage and some homes are topped off with tile roofs.

Many homes in Southfield have caged pools, formal living and dining rooms, large and open family located off modern kitchens. Expect to find some homes with a cozy fireplace, bright skylights, vaulted ceilings, large master suite with double closets, a large whirlpool or garden tub, and grand entry foyers.  Some of the homes will even have a den.  Many owners have upgraded and maintained their homes with the addition of large diagonally laid tile in the living areas.

Quiet tree-lined streets frame this highly accessible, well-maintained and clean neighborhood.  Yards are well kept with quality landscaping. Since there is only one way into the neighborhood, traffic is at a minimum and restricted to mostly homeowners and their guests.  Homeowners love this close-in location, as it is minutes to Siesta Key Beach, shopping, and I-75.

Lot sizes will start in the 11,000 square foot range and top out at over 14,000 square feet. Homes can back to one of the several small lakes.  You can expect a modest price premium for one of these homes.

The schools for Southfield are Gulf Gate Elementary, Sarasota Middle and the desirable Riverview High School.
