Tamaron Homes for Sale

Tamaron is a lightly deed-restricted community of 498 single family homes located at the southwest corner of Bahia Vista Street and McIntosh Road.  Entry to the subdivision is by either of these two roads.  The original builder was U.S.Homes.  Tamaron is known for the the central Sarasota location it enjoys.  Convenience to shopping, the close proximity to I-75, and a 10-15 minute drive to downtown or the world famous Sarasota beaches of Siesta Key, Lido, and Longboat Keys make this location highly desirable. 

Community features include quite tree-lined streets with sidewalks throughout.  Established landscape, mature tress, and the nice community feel are all hallmarks of this affordable close in community.   Residences can enjoy the serenity of a walk to the thirteen-acre lakefront park.  Homeowner fees are less than one-hundred dollars per year.

Homes sizes range from two bedroom homes of about 1,000 square feet up to approximately 2,800 square feet for a larger three or four bedroom home.  Construction began in 1976 and the last homes were completed in 1984.  Homes are primarily concert block construction with stucco although there are a few built with wood framing.  Roofs are mostly shingle with a few homes opting for barrel tile.  Some homeowners have elected metal replacements roofs for longevity.  Most homes will have a two-car garage but some of the smaller homes might have as little as a one-car carport.  Preserve and lake view homes can be found throughout the subdivision. Some homes will also have caged pools.

Lots are from 7,500 to over 17,000 square feet.  Some sections are more heavily treed than other so there is a setting here for everyone.  Premium lots will be preserve or lakefront settings.

The schools are Alta Vista Elementary, McIntosh Middle, and Sarasota High School.
