Sarasota Springs, Brentwood Estates, and Ridgewood Estates are similar neighboring communities in Central Sarasota. They are non-deed-restricted subdivisions and are affordably priced with a super location near the beaches, interstate, and shopping.
Sarasota Springs consists of approximately 2,203 home sites. Construction began in the mid 1950’s, and the latest homes were finished in the early 2000’s. Construction methods, layouts, and amenities run the full range of possibilities.
Brentwood Estates is made up of 576 home sites, and construction began in the early 1960’s. Adjacent to Sarasota Springs,is not deed restricted, and offers a great location without having to break the bank
Ridgewood Estates consists of 1,525 homes which were built during the same period as Sarasota Springs. A bit more consistency of the homes exists here but again, the homes are modest, affordable and won't have deed restrictions.
These subdivisions are generally found between Webber Street, Cattlemen Road, Bee Ridge Road, and Linwood (south of Bahia Vista Street).
For those who do not like living under the watchful eye of a homeowners association, these areas have no deed restrictions or homeowner fees. As long as the homeowner is in compliance with local zoning and building codes, pretty much anything goes.
