The Country Club of Sarasota is a gated community on Palmer Ranch in South Sarasota. The single entrance is located on Benvea Road just south of the main Palmer Ranch entrance. This deed-restricted community is home to 294 residences and features large home sites ranging from 12,000 square feet to over one-half acre. The clubhouse and first homes were built in 1975 with the majority of homes being completed by 1990 although a handful were built through late 2004. Home sizes range from just under 2,000 square feet to 6,000 square feet. Most of the homes are constructed using concrete block and stucco and all homes will have garages for two or three cars. Only a handful of homes are without caged pools.

The schools here are Gulf Gate Elementary and Middle. The desirable Riverview High School is for grades 9-12.
Local Knowledge Tip: Many of the homes on Torrey Pines Blvd on the north side of the subdivision have a full direct view of the TPC Prestancia Course and lake from their front yard. Homes were built only on one side of the street. A real plus!
