Bent Tree Real Estate

Bent Tree is located just east of I-75 in Sarasota Florida.  The un-gated first section is accessible by the entry on Bee Ridge just across from Laurel Oak two miles from I-75.  The gated section, known as the Woodlands I and Woodlands II can be accessed from Proctor Road on the south, and by the gate at the end of Charing Cross in the first section.

Bent Tree Country Club, “Where the Winners Play” has undergone major renovations in 2010. Membership at the award winning club is optional for home owners.  There are “champion” Bermuda greens, newly excavated and filled bunkers, remodeled fairways, and new tee boxes.  Bent Tree County Club’s focus is to become one of the friendliest and laid-back clubs in the area.  There are no monthly or annual minimums. There are dining facilities, opportunities for hosting your special occasions at the club and a PGA pro shop.

Bent Tree – The Woodlands I and II

This section is known for prestigious a well maintained homes on towering oak lines streets and lushly manicured landscaping. Homes feature soaring ceilings, oversized two and thee car garages, spectacular lake and fairway views.  Many homes will also have a caged pool and lanai area.  Homes sizes range from 2,200 sq. ft. to over 4,000 sq. ft.  The oldest homes were built in the early 1980’s with the majority of the homes being finished up in the early 1990’s.  There were a few built after 2000 but finding one of these homes is rare.  Generally, most of the homes are stucco over concrete block but you will also find a few homes of wood frame construction as well.  You can also find homes with tile roofs here.  Lot sizes run from around 10,000 sq. ft. up to just under one acre.

Bent Tree

The first section of Bent Tree can be an affordable alternative if calling Bent Tree your home is your priority.  Some of the homes in this section will have a golf course or lake view.  Home sizes can run from 1,300 sq. ft. to just under 3,000 sq. ft.  Construction began in the mid 1970’s and ended in the mid to late 1980’s.  You will find most homes to be of stucco over block construction with the occasional wood frame home as well.  Lot sizes run from around 8,000 sq. ft. up to about 10,000 sq. ft.

The Knolls at Bent Tree are townhome style construction with a condo form of ownership.  Located in the gated section of Bent Tree, these homes are for those who don’t want the worry of exterior maintenance at an affordable price.
