The Enclave Real Estate in Sarasota, FL

The Enclave is a 275 home deed-restricted community located approximately two miles east of I-75 of off Palmer Boulevard.  Access from I-75 is from Fruitville Road via Apex Road from the north or Bee Ridge Road off Iona Road from the South.  Centex built all of the homes.  The three subdivisions that make up The Enclave and are only accessible from Palmer Blvd.  None of the three are connected which means all of The Enclave homes are on quiet dead end streets.  Lot sizes are from 10,000 sq. ft. and generally up to 13,000 sq. ft. although a few hard to find lots are just over 17,000 sq. ft. 

There are three recorded subdivisions often referred to as simply “The Enclave.”  Often times, you will see one of the three recorded subdivision names instead of The Enclave which can be rather confusing.  To aid in your research before buying, based on the street name, you can determine which subdivision any home is located.

The Villages at Pinetree Ponderosa Enclave was the first section built within the Enclave. 104 homes were constructed between 2003 and 2005.  Fraser Pine Blvd. and Arolla Pine Drive are the streets here.

The Villages of Pinetree Spruce Pine Enclave was the second section built.  It consists of 99 homes and the street, which is actually a circle, is Pinyon Pine Drive.  Home construction started in 2004 and the last home was completed in 2006.

The Villages of Pinetree Mash Enclave was the third and final section built . It consists of 72 homes.  These homes are located on Western Pine Circle.  Homes were built from 2006 through 2008.

These are modern homes with some of the latest features.  Expect to see large open family rooms which usually open to a lanai by way of tall multi-panel sliding glass doors.  Kitchens with a pantry will be open to the family room and positioned next to a formal dining room.  Laundry rooms are usually inside between the kitchen and garage areas.  Many have pools.  The master suites are inviting and the larger homes will have double closets, a sitting area, whirlpool tubs and double sinks.  All homes are concrete block construction with at least a two-car garage but many have room for three cars.  Premium lots include cul-de-sac lots, lake-view lots, and preserve lots.

Palmer Glen is located just west of The Enclave and has similar homes.  We have included these homes due to the similar nature and location of The Enclave.  The significant difference is Palmer Glen is a gated community.

The schools serving The Enclave are Tatum Ridge Elementary (located just across the street on Palmer Blvd.), McIntosh Middle, and Sarasota High.
