Sarasota - The #1 US Housing Market

According to The Today’s show resident real estate expert Barbara Corcoran, Sarasota tops the list of The Top 10 Cities to buy.   Her selection criteria looked at markets with the sharpest declines last year but over the last quarter, are showing the largest price grains.  Sarasota topped the list with a 13% gain this quarter after showing a median house price drop of over one third compared to last year.

For those following our most recent market updates, this is really no surprise.  Total units sold are also up in the Sarasota Market.  Lower mortgage rates and Sarasota’s attractive waterfront and beach communities spur much of the activity on.   Siesta Key Beach ranked the #1 US Beach in the US this year as well.
